Biography
Cassie Corder is a 19 year old singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Newcastle who first started playing guitar at the age of 10 and is a self-taught pianist. She has since performed overseas, at various school concerts, on cruise ships, as an unofficial guest, and at multiple clubs around Newcastle. She also has a keen interest in putting a smile on residents faces at retirement/nursing homes and providing the warmth and feeling in soft music suitable for a funeral. Cassie achieved 3 band 6's from 6 HSC electives, one of these being in Music. With a successful application, she has been accepted into Newcastle University to study a degree in Music, but her sights are set on becoming a well-known artist-musician, so she has decided to dedicate her full attention to performing, building on her repertoire, songwriting and recording. Alongside many other gifted songwriters, Cassie has been selected as a semi-finalist in The Songwriting Prize, a national songwriting competition for her debut single Mirror Mirror, available on all streaming platforms, which highlights her ability in songwriting well beyond her years. With an extensive repertoire of easy listening music such as acoustic songs, ballads, pop, originals, instrumentals and crowd pleasers, her music appeals to audiences of all age groups and is perfect for restaurants, cafes, clubs, pubs and weddings. With music being her number one passion, having a great knowledge of her craft and a relentless determination and drive to be successful in the music industry, Cassie is sure to provide quality live entertainment for your next event-function-wedding-party.
