Our Booking Policy
Whirlwind Entertainment (Whirlwind Group Pty Ltd) facilitates entertainment bookings between venues and performers.
All performers engaged through Whirlwind supply complete packaged entertainment products as independent businesses and are not engaged solely for labour services. These entertainment packages may include live performance services, equipment, instruments, sound production, travel, administration, insurance, marketing and other operating components required to deliver a professional entertainment experience.
Venues engage complete entertainment products through Whirlwind Entertainment. Depending on the booking arrangement, payments may be made directly between the venue and the Act, or administered by Whirlwind as a booking and payment intermediary.
Whirlwind sources, promotes, coordinates and administers complete entertainment packages and does not operate as a traditional labour-hire provider. Where required, Whirlwind may administer statutory obligations in accordance with applicable legislation, professional advice and the specific circumstances of an engagement.
Artists remain responsible for their own business operations, including taxation, insurance, equipment, travel, administration and, where applicable, the management of their own employees, contractors, band members, companies, trusts or partnership arrangements.
It is the intention of all parties that engagements continue to operate on a genuine Business-to-Business basis, with independent performers and entertainment businesses supplying complete entertainment products to venues through the services provided by Whirlwind Entertainment.
