Biography
Romney Watts, is an accomplished solo singer/ guitarist who performs regular shows throughout the central coast and hunter regions. She provides a strong lead vocal, performs with quality acoustic guitars and incorporates strong rhythms on the stomp box in her shows. Romney originally developed her vocal and guitar technique playing bluegrass and blues and performing at various blues and folk festivals. She later played in a female duo, The Gems. Performing regularly at clubs and pubs throughout the Sydney region, the duo featured strong harmonies and played popular hits from past to present. Romney later explored the country rock genre, where she toured extensively throughout the east coast of Australia. She performed at a variety of venues and major country music festivals, such as those held in Ballina, Tamworth and Gympie. Romney returned as a solo performer and continues to draw on her extensive experiences in the musical industry to deliver a great repertoire of popular covers that combine a variety of different genres. Romney enjoys interacting with her audiences and is versatile in adapting her repertoire to suit the clientele. Able to pump up the music to hold a dance crowd or play smooth casual tunes for a laid back audience, Romney creates a great atmosphere for any event.
