Biography
Steve Werren is a born and bred Newcastle musician who now plys his trade in Londons West End in the United Kingdom. Steve particularly enjoys performing in continental Europe and is regularly invited to entertain revellers at the two biggest European festivals; the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona Spain and the Munich Octoberfest in Germany. Steves highlight each year is being invited to perform at Royal Ascot races on Ladies Day, which is the UKs version of Melbourne Cup Day. An event that was attended every year by HRH Queen Elizabeth ll until her passing (now King Charles) and is one of the major occasions on the British social calendar. Music combined with his other main passion for skiing, allows Steve to spend every European winter performing in the Austrian Alps. Whilst in London Steve saw the opportunity to open his own live music venue, using the experience he gained from his worldwide travels. So from this idea, the Redback Tavern was formed, featuring top-line entertainment every night of the week on two stages, including occasional guest touring bands doing warm-up shows before their main tour. Starting as an empty building, Steve sold the Redback after five years, at which point it had become one of Londons leading live music venues, catering for over 800 people most nights of the week. With his busy schedule, Steve still finds the time to return home to Newcastle at the end of every year for two or three months of select shows. Steve Werren now continues to sell his particular brand of entertainment throughout the world, so if you see him advertised in your area why not come along, sit back with a cold drink and see what hes all about?
