Whiskeyfyre is more than a band'€it's a blazing fusion of soul-stirring grit, untamed energy, and raw musical power. Inspired by the smoky smoothness of good whiskey and the roaring intensity of fire, our sound burns bright and lingers long after the final note. Our brand voice reflects this spirit, connecting with fans who crave authenticity, electrifying performances, and music that feels like home and rebellion all at once. Lisa Byrne - Lead Vocals Lisa Byrne's musical journey began in her childhood, with her passion for singing blossoming at just 13. Immersed in the Country Music scene, she performed at festivals across Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland, sharing the stage with renowned artists. Lisa showcased her talents as a songwriter and captivated audiences with her unique voice, blending influences from both country and rock. Nigel Beeton - Guitar/Vocals Nigel has a long established career playing with the likes of Yothu Yindi, Jimmy Little, Troy Cassar Daley, Kasey Chambers and many sessions for record labels, including his own country originals. Nigel has also played with well established Newcastle covers bands & duos prior to bringing the FYRE to Whiskeyfyre and he is absolutely the MASHup King! Jason "Hendo" Henderson - Guitar/Vocals Jason comes from a long history of music in bands around the Newcastle & Hunter from heading up Full Throttle, Core and Hendo Duo and Solo! Our Jase, not only shreds on the guitar, but literally channels out Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, Shallow with our Lisa... Mel Shortland - Bass/Vocals Mel comes from a line of musicians in the Newcastle area, coming out of Newcastle Con with classical, blues and jazz influences but a strong passion for women in rock, Mel played across Newcastle bands in the late 80's Early 90's and did recordings with Artists Lonely Town in Qld, and more recently local artist Krit Motion. Mel plays bass, double bass and keys Reills - Drums/Vocals Paul Reilly "Reills" has been drumming since he could walk. He has played regularly over the last 30 plus years in Newcastle bands as well as international support acts. Reills is a very well known and loved supporter of the music scene and a big lover of TCMF.
